In mid-May, the Construction Technology Cluster (CTC), managed by CCIPB, held a meeting to present a new project related to the construction industry.
At the beginning of the meeting, a “green” container system made of recycled plastic was presented. The tanks can be used to hold fire water, rainwater and waste water. They can also be used as oil traps, dirt traps and grease traps, depending on the customer’s requirements.
Participants were later treated to a presentation of the Circular DigiBuild project, which was also the first “RMSG meeting” for the project. The project focuses on shifting the circular economy in the construction industry through digital innovation. The construction industry in the Danube region faces challenges such as resource depletion, significant waste production and significant greenhouse gas emissions. Slow adoption of digital technologies in the sector is further hampering progress towards more circular and sustainable construction practices. The Circular DigiBuild, a consortium of 16 project partners under the Danube Interreg programme, aims to bridge this gap by using digital innovation to shift the circular economy in the construction sector. The project aims to transform construction practices in the Danube Region by strategically addressing these pressing challenges. The Chamber will work with the CTC, NGOs, governmental bodies, academia and business on the different project tasks.
The work carried out at the Sectoral Training Centre was also discussed. At the beginning of May, mock exams were held, where students performed tasks similar to those they will perform in the real exam. It is encouraging that the students did well in the mock exams.
In the second part of the session, the Cluster President reported on the success of the final of the”Épít-Ésszel” competition. It was noted how much the children enjoyed the tasks and that, as last year, a team with a majority of girls won.
Congratulations to all the participants!
